How We Started

How We Started

The Karyawan was launched in 1994 as a platform to promote critical thinking and informed discourse within the Malay/Muslim community. Created in response to the need for deeper engagement on socio-economic and cultural issues, the publication aimed to amplify diverse voices and spark meaningful conversations. What started off as a publication with a small editorial team and a clear purpose has grown into a trusted platform for ideas, research, and public dialogue.
